ALIVE!’s volunteers strive to put their faith and love into action by committing themselves to alleviate the suffering caused by poverty and to bring about dramatic improvement in the lives of those in need. Through the committed efforts of people of faith, ALIVE! explores new ways and resources to bring about a day when we have been able to meet all of the critical needs of those in our community.

Description:
ALIVE! serves over 20,000 Alexandrians annually with shelter; low-cost early childhood education and childcare; financial help for rent, utilities, medicines and other critical needs; emergency food; and deliveries of donated furniture and housewares.

More than 900 volunteers a year help ALIVE! fulfill the mission to put faith and love into action. Of ALIVE!’s seven programs, five are staffed and managed entirely by volunteers. ALIVE! is Alexandrians helping Alexandrians.
