AARP Tax-Aide is the nation's largest volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service. There are over 32,000 volunteers nation-wide preparing tax returns at 9000 sites. In Northern Virginia this free service is provided at 10 sites in Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William Counties. Last year we prepared over 7000 federal tax returns. We will train you to be qualified in basic tax preparation and assign you to a site near your home.

Our volunteers receive a five-day training course in tax preparation. They are then certified by the IRS and prepare tax returns for low income and elderly tax payers.
