Believing it is a privilege and a blessing to give, Giving Children Hope is committed to serving children and the poor domestically and worldwide by providing relief and development for individuals, families, and communities.
Description:
Giving Children Hope is a Christ - centered organization whose purpose is to provide rapid response medical and emergency relief. In addition, our mission is transforming families through the provision of health care, nutrition, education and vocational training in imminent and sustained crises, equipping the forgotten children of the world to realize their God Given potential. Our vision is to empower those who give hope to the hopeless. Orange County domestic programs include a job training program "Hands of Hope" which is funded by the United Way.
History:
Giving Children Hope began when founders John and Juliana Ditty traveled to eastern Europe to adopt two of their children. They were so impacted by the desperation of children in orphanages, and the need for food and basic necessities, that upon returning to southern California they were compelled to help. Determined to make a difference in the physical emotional and spiritual well being of children Giving Children Hope was born in 1993.
