Native Plant Nursery Wednesday Workday with Save The Bay (Oakland)
Last updated on July 22, 2008
Logo

Learn about your local plant community members like gumplant, jaumea and salt grass. With the help of volunteers like you, the Native Plant Nurseries allow us to grow native wetland plants onsite for our restoration projects. Fall is the busiest time in our nurseries as we are growing plants to be out-planted the upcoming winter! Activities include plant propagation and transplanting, seed collection and sowing, watering, and other maintenance associated with growing native wetland plants. In November and December we may be out-planting the seedlings in the field and may not be in the nursery.

Due to the sensitive nature of the restoration site, space is limited and RSVP is requested. Please complete the online registration form for yourself or a group, and note that we will contact you with other potential project dates if we can't fit your group on the project date that you have requested.

If you need more information about this or other events please contact Sarah Lyons, Administrative Assistant at (510) 452-9261 x119 or email bayevents@saveSFbay.org.
