Live Baltimore Home Center is an independent non-profit organization founded in 1997 to promote the benefits of city living. As the single source for information about living in Baltimore City, Live Baltimore provides comprehensive information about city neighborhoods, real estate professionals and home buying incentive programs.

Description:
Live Baltimore’s mission is to help Baltimore City grow as a preferred living destination. Some of its many goals include finding and delivering consumers for city living, increasing the residential tax base, and promoting the positive attributes of Baltimore City living to influence public perceptions. Live Baltimore also aims remain the leading source for information about city living.

History:
Making its debut in 1997, the Live Baltimore Home Center was founded to address the issues of marketing neighborhoods and attracting people to stay and live in the city. Initially housed within the Citizens Planning and Housing Association, we became an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation in 2002.



While other organizations focus on promoting Baltimore for business investment, downtown development, tourism and conventions, we are the only organization focused on marketing city neighborhoods for new residential investment. Live Baltimore exists to retain current city residents, recruit new city residents and, ultimately, to increase Baltimore’s tax and resource base.



Our retail store-front Home Center opened in March 2004 to greater serve consumers in search of city living information and is the only facility of its kind in the country.
