Liberty Learning Center
Last updated on April 29, 2008

The Liberty Learning Center helps break the cycle of poverty and crime by providing meaningful, faith-based child care and youth development activities in East Baltimore. We operate an after-school program and summer camp for children between 5 and 12 years old. We also provide a mentoring program for children between 5 and 18 years of age.

Volunteers are needed as mentors, tutors, child care aides and administrative staff. Volunteers are also needed for accounting, graphics design, web site development, and computer support maintaining and expanding our network of educational and administrative computers and applications.

Description:
The program helps break the cycle of poverty, crime, and incarceration in Baltimore City. Tutoring, homework assistance, Christian education, computers, and a full meal are provided daily. We seek to provide services to support single parents and fill in for parents who are not able to spend quality time with their children. We believe Christian character education will provide the key to avoiding the many traps facing young people growing up in Baltimore City. We provide opportunities for children to grow, musically, academically, artistically and spiritually.
