Baltimore County Christian Workcamp (BCCW)

BCCW's mission is to share the love of Christ by improving the homes of and providing assistance to limited income families in Baltimore County, Maryland.

Description:
During the third week in July (In 2009, it is the week of July 19th.), we repair over 30 homes in Baltimore County. These sites are recommended by various County agencies, churches, etc. The type of work includes ramps, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, inside and outside painting, roofs, gutters, caulking, inside and outside clean-up. We welcome and offer appropriate activities for all ages (under 16 years, must be accompanied by an adult) and all skill levels.

History:
BCCW was started in 1984, by two United Methodist ministers. It is now run by lay persons and is ecumenical. BCCW is a 501(c)3 organization. Next year, 2009 represents the 26th annual BCCW.
