Our mission is to provide prevention and intervention services for men, women, and children whose lives, communities and hopes for the future have been diminished by extreme poverty, drug abuse, incarceration and homelessness. Our vision is to aid in the creation of spiritually/socially healthy persons, families and communities within Baltimore City and Maryland.

Description:
We are a faith-based social service organization. Episcopal Community Services of Maryland helps at-risk children and adults through three programs. The Jericho Program helps recently-released nonviolent men find employment and avoid re-incarceration. The Club at Collington Square, with its after school and summer enrichment programs, encourages middle school students to stay in school and avoid drug and alcohol use and teen parenthood. The Ark is a fully licensed preschool and daycare center for children ages 3 to 5 whose families are homeless or whose parents are in the early stages of addiction recovery. It strives to better prepare children to enter a permanent preschool or kindergarten without being socially, emotionally or verbally disadvantaged.

History:
Episcopal Community Services of Maryland was established in 1927 as an adoption agency. Our commitment to reuniting children that seek help in identifying and communicating with their birth parents continues on in the Adoption Search and Reunification program. For over twenty years we have focused on helping at-risk children and adults to transform their lives and futures through the Jericho program, The Ark and The Club at Collington Square.
