Description:
A community teaching hospital and long term care facility, Hopkins Bayview has more than 700 beds. The Francis Scott Key Pavilion houses most of the Medical Center's acute-care beds, modern operating rooms, trauma center and emergency department, intensive care units and the Baltimore Regional Burn Center. Its imaging department is equipped with the latest advances of MRI, CT, mammography and nuclear medicine. A range of out-patient services serves as "family doctor" to the area's many communties.

History:
With roots established in 1773, the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center has a long and distinguished history of service to the community. Today it is a member of the Johns Hopkins Health System, with physicians who are primarily full-time faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
