BOYS HOPE GIRLS HOPE helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college.

Description:
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baltimore is a residential home currently caring for eight boys ages 10 through 17 with the capacity to house a total of eight. Boys Hope provides the children with a safe, stable and caring environment and a quality education at a Catholic or other private institution. It is a closely supervised residential and academic program for children with average or above average intellectual aptitude and who are capable of pursuing a college education after high school.

History:
Boys Hope was founded in St. Louis, Missouri by Fr. Paul Sheridan S.J. in 1977. The first girls home opened in Pittsburgh in 1991. BHGH currently serves 19 cities across the country and 3 cities internationally. Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baltimore opened its doors in 2002. Plans are underway to open a girls home in Baltimore with a target date of Summer 2008. Since 1991, 100% of BHGH high school graduates have gone on to college.
