The mission of the Cockeysville Senior Center at Warren Place is to develop partnerships, programs and activities that support the senior citizens of our community in their effort to remain healthy, active and independent members of the community, and to provide, coordinate and advocate for services which ensure the highest quality of life for both active and health impaired seniors.

Description:
The Cockeysville Senior Center provides consumer education, health education, health screenings, orientations to classes, trainings, meetings, special events and Travel.

Additionally, we regularly scheduled classes at the center, such as; Yoga, a Book Club, Senior Rhythms, The Good Old Days, friendly Bridge classes, Current Events, Seniorcize, Line Dancing, Senior Strength and Fitness, Ceramics, Loom Knitting, Jewelry Making, Floral Arranging, An All Media Art Class and Rug Hooking.
We also have a Fitness Center on-site that is in operation on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Our informal activities include: pool, shuffleboard, Bingo and Mixed Cards and games.

History:
The Baltimore County Department of Aging has 20 senior centers located throughout Baltimore County. Our Mission is to develop and administer services that support Baltimore County seniors in their effort to remain healthy, active and independent members of the community, and to provide, coordinate and advocate for services which ensure the highest quality of life for both active and health impaired seniors; their families and their caregivers. Further, the department is committed to providing service to a wide constituency in accordance with federal state and local guidelines. Any individual who has been denied services based on specific guidelines, has a right to appeal. All appeals should be discussed with the local Department of Aging Staff representative or by contacting our Senior Information and Assistance staff at 410-887-2594.
