The Mission of the Edgemere Senior Center is to provide programing in a safe and inviting environment for seniors in Edgemere and local surroundings,by supporting senior adults in their effort to remain healthy,active and independent members of the community and to promote their participation in intergenerational activities,providing an opportunity for positive role models in all aspects of community life.

History:
Edgemere is one of nineteen senior center's in Baltimore County started in January of 1972. The center started in Fort Howard Elementary School and has been located at its new location at 6600 North Point Rd. for the past six years.The center is open from 8:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.on Tuesday.Dinner,entertainment,programs and socialization offered on Tuesday evenings.
