The mission of the Fleming Senior Center it to develop activities and administer programs that maintain the integrity of the unique histories and cultures of our community. These programs and activities will support Baltimore County senior citizens in their efforts to remain healthy, active and independent member of the community.

Description:
Fleming Senior Center is located in Turner's Station which is a predominantly close-knit blue collar African-American community. Many of the center members attended school, worked and retired from agencies and businesses located within the neighboring communities. Unfortunately many of the businesses that once flourished in the area no longer exist and Turner Station is facing a decline. However the community is aggressively fighting back and through conservation planning and neighborhood involvement the future vision of Turners Station as a once again thriving and productive community will be realized.

History:
Fleming Senior Center begin in 1975 as a Golden Age Lunch Plus site. In 1979 it received its current name. In 1998, Fleming Elementary School which housed the center was demolished and the Center was relocated to the Watersedge Recreation and Parks Building and later moved to a rented storefront facility in Logan Village Shopping Center. Following the renovation, Fleming Senior Center reopened at Pittsburgh and Main Street and is house in the Fleming Community Center. The facility is shared with Head Start and Baltimore County Recreation and Parks.
