The mission of the Eastside Community Development Corporation, a charitable non-profit organization, is to encourage community and economic development in the eastern sections of Baltimore County and Baltimore City. ECDC shall facilitate fair, adequate and affordable housing in Baltimore County and City. Our primary emphasis is on educating and counseling homeowners to ensure their long-term success.

Description:
Our company is a Housing Counseling agency . We provide education and counseling in all aspects of homeownership. We assist First Time Home Buyers Program by contract with Baltimore County Office of Community Conservation. We provide education about the home buying process for first time buyers. We also do individual housing counseling which reviews with potential buyers their individual finances, credit and how much house they can afford. If they meet program qualifications, we can also provide them with a Settlement Expense Loan to assist with closing cost.

In today's housing market we are providing default and foreclosure counseling for families behind in their mortgages. We can help them understand the options available, and assist them with programs that may help them keep their homes.

History:
Our program has been in existence for about ten years. During that time we have operated under the Eastern Baltimore Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce. In 2003, we began operations seperately as the Eastside Community Development Corporation. Our program has assisted over 13,000 families with homebuyer education. We have also assisted over 1100 families to utilize the SELP and MALP loan programs.
