The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with MS. This is Why We Are Here.

Description:
The Maryland Chapter is committed to empowering people with MS to live as independently as possible within the limits of their abilities and to the maximum of their capabilities within the least restrictive environment. Our goals include promoting and supporting knowledge, health and independence and providing information, education and emotional support to help people with MS help themselves.

In addition, the Society spends more money on MS research than any other non-governmental agency in the world, investing more than $30 million annually on research programs.
