History:
Dayspring, Inc. was incorporated in March 1982 as a private, nonprofit organization and was granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service in October 1982. Dayspring operated its early education and child care program, Rainbow's End Preschool and Child Care Center, from 1982 to 1995, serving more than 300 families in the Park Heights and surrounding communities. Dayspring, Inc. has operated school-age summer programs, helped to pioneer the use of developmentally appropriate computer-assisted learning, sponsored educational outreach services at community and citywide events, employed and trained community residents as well as teacher education students from local colleges and universities, and watched with pride as former students excelled in public, private, and parochial schools. Consequently, we know our community, its people, and its issues well.
