We are pleased to announce volunteer opportunities for the Special Olympics Maryland 2008 Summer Games June 6-8 at Towson University.
1,500 Volunteers are needed to keep score, distribute lunches and beverages, escort athletes to competitions and awards and many other volunteer positions. There are opportunities for everyone.
You, your family members (minimum age is 16 years old), co-workers, and friends are needed to volunteer for this very rewarding and exciting event. All registered volunteers will receive an event t-shirt and lunch.

Also…How Loud is Loud?-----Be a Fan of Special Olympics Maryland by creating you own Cheer Team to help root on the athletes of the 2008 Summer Games. Register your Cheer Team at www.somd.org and click on the Cheer Team megaphone.
All registered volunteers and Cheer Team members are invited to join us at the Block Party on Friday, June 6th at 4:30 before moving into the Opening Ceremony at the Towson Center.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age (individual volunteers and groups with volunteers 12-15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and/or appropriately chaperoned)
