
Assist Homeless Families in Anne Arundel County

Sarah's House is Anne Arundel County’s largest supportive housing provider for homeless people. Sarah’s House aids families through the provision of case management, transportation, employment services and child care programs. Serving approximately 125 guests, half of whom are children, each day, the goal of Sarah’s House is to maintain the family unit and promote their ability to complete together the journey to independence.
There is a wide range of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups at Sarah's House. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
· prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner for shelter guests
· Sell raffle tickets at your workplace, church, or other locations
· Sell ‘House Pins’ at your workplace, church, or other locations
· Organize a ‘Wish List’ drive
· Host an evening event for children (ice cream social, movie night, etc.)
· Assist with front desk/clerical duties (urgent need for evening hours)
· Program assistance - administrative and organizational
· Assist with School-Age Summer Program (excellent opportunity for high school students)
· Transport guests to work and other appointments
