Last updated on May 12, 2008

The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture will open to the public later this year! The museum will be located on President and Pratt Street at the Inner Harbor. This museum will be the second largest of its kind in the country. We are currently looking for volunteers to serve in all areas of the museum. Volunteers will be staffed at the front desk, museum shop, resource center, oral history and listening studio, assist with museum special events such as lectures and performances, and provide tours of the permanent exhibition to school groups, family reunions and special interest groups.

All volunteers are required to participate in training. Volunteer and docent (tour guide) training will begin in August. Volunteers who are interested in signing up for training, should contact Christina Sullivan, Volunteer and Scholars Program Manager at 410-333-1131.
