Our vision is for young adults in Boston to be educated and mobilized to become active leaders and contributors to local, national, and global philanthropic initiatives.

Our mission is to bring together young adults throughout the Boston metropolitan area to contribute to specific philanthropic initiatives. By organizing a range of social events and volunteer opportunities throughout the year, Cities Unite will maintain awareness of, drive volunteer resources to, and continuously support our adopted initiatives.

Description:
Cities Unite is a not for profit organization for young adults in and around Boston who promote awareness of philanthropic opportunities in their communities through social events and volunteering opportunities. By creating a bridge between social events and charitable causes, Cities Unite engages tomorrow's leaders to influence the world today.

A Board of Directors made up of young professionals committed to philanthropic ventures governs Cities Unite, but the strength of the organization lies in the volunteers, party goers, and others who give their time and resources for the Cities Unite cause.

Cities Unite is a venue for young adults who are committed to philanthropy, and a common ground for those who aren't sure where to start. By offering a variety of events and levels of involvement, Cities Unite mobilizes a section of our population that is suddenly finding itself with much to give back.

History:
We were chartered in the fall of 2005 in the after math of Hurricane Katrina. Our hope was to mobilize young adults in the Boston area provide continued awareness of the rebuilding efforts and immediate aid needs in the Gulf region.
