To offer opportunities for the cultural growth of Panamanians and Latin American youth, specially the one with limited resources. To offer cultural programs for the community and provide to young people of limited resources the best music-arts-culture education in the world

Description:
We offer educational and scholarship opportunities to panamanian children and youth with limited resources. Our focus is music education and we provide training in music, culture, arts, languages and everything necessary to obtain talent scholarships that will help students study abroad and get the best education in the world.

History:
Panamanian - American pianist Danilo Perez came to study music to Boston, MA on a full scholarship. After being in the US for less than two years he started touring with his mentor Dizzy Gillespie. From then on, he has performed all over the world with different artists. Since 1989 he has come back to his native Panama at least once a year to teach and have brought many music teachers and educational programs since then. He founded the Panama Jazz Festival in 2003 to start bringing music schools to teach once a year. Then he created the Danilo Perez Foundation to organize all the educational programs he has been doing for over two decades. Today, there are more than 10 educational and 5 scholarship programs running all year long. The Panama Jazz Festival is the main event the foundation organizes and all ticket sales go to develop these educational and scholarship programs.
