To help local nonprofit organizations serve our community by encouraging, facilitating, coordinating and supporting family volunteering activities.

Description:
The Volunteer Family (TVF) is a startup nonprofit, incorporated as a 501(c)3 in Massachusetts last year, dedicated to helping Boston Metrowest area organizations address a growing need for volunteer assistance through family volunteering. We have two goals. First, we aim to encourage, facilitate, coordinate, and support family volunteering activities to strengthen family values. Second, we will help nonprofit agencies achieve their respective goals of serving our community's most underserved populations and disadvantaged communities.

History:
The Volunteer Family has completed the first stage of operations. We have identified over 80 agencies who are ready and willing to accept family volunteers. These agencies serve our homeless, our elderly, our sick and disabled, our children, and the local arts and environment.
