Notre Dame Education Center (NDEC) is a community based organization that offers adults a solid educational foundation accompanied by respect, compassion and understanding. People from diverse cultures and neighborhoods of the city come to initiate or continue their education through our programs.

Description:
NDEC is "a place of hope" that dedicates its efforts to help adults move forward with their lives. The Programs offered include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), GED, the Academic Diploma Program (high school completion), an internet-based Distance Learning Program and Citizenship classes.

NDEC provides its students with a solid grounding in education and the opportunity to participate in a proactive way in the workforce and the community.

History:
NDEC was founded in 1992 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The majority of our classes are free with funding through the MA Dept. of Education, the City of Boston and through the generosity of Foundations, Corporations and individuals.
