Overall Experience
I had a wonderful time serving meals to those in needs at the Pine Street Inn. The staff was very friendly and the other volunteers were pleasant as well.

I volunteered as a representative of the Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society at Bridgewater State College. As social work student I gained a greater appreciation of the importance of helping others get their needs met. Pine Street meets the needs of so many clients and I gained some new insight as to how much they can use community members help to run smoothly. Pine Street provided a great opportunity even though it was just a few hours. I helped set up the tables, served dinner to the women and men, and assisted with cleaning the dining area. The people I served were very grateful and I look forward to going back. posted by Spizz on March 18, 2004 |
