Description:
Since 1975, Mystic Valley Elder Services has worked with older adults, families, caregivers, and health care professionals to identify and access the many services and programs that help elders live independent, fulfilling lives.

As one of the largest aging services organizations in Massachusetts, we serve the communities of Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Stoneham, and Wakefield.

Mystic Valley Elder Services sponsors the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Middlesex County, which engages volunteers 55+ in service within the community. Volunteers are needed in many different capacities. Groups of volunteers are encouraged to become involved with our Meal Delivery Program or special projects. History:
After Congress enacted the Older Americans Act in 1965, Malden Mayor Walter Kelliher and colleagues from Everett and Medford created the non-profit Malden Action to administer federal funds for nutrition and transportation programs.Governor Sargeant created the Massachusetts Department of Elder Affairs in 1971 with an exclusive mission to serve elders. This Department created a network of home care agencies in 1975 and Malden Action spearheaded the program in the Everett, Malden and Medford area and this became Mystic Valley Elder Services.

Very impressed with the professional actions of group

I was part of the team on an assignment at MATV filming a video production on keeping Senior in the home. Very impressed and excited about how the production was handled posted by hcmgowan on February 3, 2005
