The mission of the Friday Night Supper Program (FNSP) is to provide a warm nutritious meal to anyone in need in a safe and dignified environment every Friday night.
Description:
The Friday Night Supper Program is a nonprofit organization that provides nutritious, home-cooked meals to people who are homeless and hungry in Boston every Friday night of the year. Since 1984, our dedicated volunteers have served 250 meals to anyone in need, in a safe and dignified environment. We strive to provide a sense of security, abundance, and choice to those who have limited or no access to these very basic essentials. Basic personal items such as clothing and toiletries are also provided for our guests.
History:
Friday Night Supper was founded over 20 years ago as an emergency feeding program following abrupt cutbacks in benefits by the Reagan administration. The program has never missed a Friday meal since 1984 and has served more than half million meals since its inception.
