One Family, Inc., created by Paul and Phyllis Fireman and family, is a not-for-profit organization devoted to ending family homelessness in Massachusetts. With an unprecedented strategic vision, One Family brings together elected officials, faith and community organizations, and philanthropic and private leaders to design and implement effective lasting solutions to family homelessness.
History:
Since its inception in 2000, the One Family Scholars program has grown to a total of 125 Scholars, and from the two original affiliated sites, Wellspring House in Gloucester and Project Hope in Dorchester, to the current five, with the addition of Housing Families, Inc. in Malden, MainSpring Coalition for the Homeless in Brockton and Community Teamwork, Inc. in Lowell.
