The Taproot Foundation is a volunteer organization that builds teams of marketing and creative services professionals, human resources professionals, and information technology professionals to work on projects for local nonprofits. The Taproot Foundation lets you "give what you know" so that you can make the strongest impact on your local community while networking and growing professionally.
We are looking for seasoned professionals to add to our growing network of volunteers. We are always looking for experienced professionals with expertise in any of the following: -Executive Management -Project Management -Marketing Management/Strategy -Brand Strategy -Graphic Design -Copywriting -Photography -Software Development/Configuration (web or database projects) -Systems Analysis -Data Migration -Performance Management Analysis -Internal Communication Management -Training Programs
Volunteers work on 5-6 month projects and donate up to 5 hours per week. Depending on your area of expertise, you may work on branding/naming projects, brochure projects, website projects, donor database projects, or performance management projects for a nonprofit in your local area. All of these Service Grants are designed to help a nonprofit increase its capacity to grow and better serve its constituents. History:
We started in San Francisco in 2001; within five years we were able to expand our operations into four cities, including Boston in 2006.
