Mission: The Bisexual Resource Center is an international organization providing education about and support for bisexual and progressive issues. Vision: We envision a world where everyone's love is celebrated, regardless of gender(s). We believe in a world that acknowledges people as whole and indivisible and where they should not have to leave any part of their heritage and identity at the door. Oppression on the basis of sexual identity is intertwined with all other oppressions.
Description:
The Bisexual Resource Center's Goals and Objectives
- TO EDUCATE organizations, communities, and the general public about bisexual and progressive issues.
o We gather archival information on bisexuality, bisexual organizations, and the bisexual liberation movement. o We consult with researchers and groups about health, sexual identity, sexuality, and sexual and gender expression. o We disseminate information through accessible print, broadcast, and electronic media.
- TO SUPPORT individuals and groups working on bisexual and progressive issues.
o We advocate for legal and social change to overcome oppression, strengthen civil rights, and secure freedoms. o We reach out to individuals through training facilitators, hosting support groups, and planning events. o We reach out to groups through fiscal sponsorships, organizational support, and advisory relationships. TO ACT exclusively for educational and charitable purposes as defined under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law).
