Would you like to help get toxic chemicals out of products? More and more, science is linking toxic chemicals in the products that we use every day in our homes, schools and workplaces to illnesses such as cancer, asthma, infertility, and learning disabilities. The Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow is a coalition of over 160 organizations working to get toxic chemicals out of consumer products and out of our daily environments. We are working to pass the Safer Alternatives Bill in Massachusetts, groundbreaking legislation that would require businesses to replace toxic chemicals with safer alternatives, when feasible. Volunteers needed on this exciting grassroots campaign! Can you help in any of the following ways?
- Become a weekly volunteer
Donate 2-5 hours weekly to provide administrative support to the Safer Alternatives campaign: Tasks may include data entry, word processing, databases, organizing information, phone calls, other office tasks.
- Become a monthly volunteer
Donate a day or an afternoon a month to provide administrative support to the Safer Alternatives campaign:
Tasks may include data entry, word processing, databases, organizing information, phone calls, other office tasks.
- Web page support
We are developing a web-based campaign for people to connect with others in their legislators districts, see how neighbors are taking action, and get involved themselves. Volunteers comfortable working with websites needed to help create and maintain this web based network. We offer: · a friendly, casual office, located in Downtown Boston, just blocks from all 4 T-lines · an opportunity to work on a groundbreaking campaign to protect children’s health · an opportunity to learn more about environmental health, legislative advocacy, and community organizing
