There are positions available to suit whatever strength or talent you have to contribute. We have exciting opportunities in the Northeast District-sites located in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and New Jersey. YFU is looking for enthusiastic individuals to develop a supportive mentoring relationship with a high school exchange student from another country. The International Student Volunteer/Mentor would: Check in on student and host family at least monthly Check in with student's school quarterly Help student to adjust to host family, American culture and school life Support student in resolving potential conflicts with host family and/or host siblings Respond to student/host family questions and concerns in a timely manner Notify YFU of any concerns or greater support issues, as we are always available to assist you!
