The Foundation sponsors a one-on-one Mentoring Program for at risk Framingham High School teens. The students are recommended by school counselors as being most in need of an adult guide and role model. Mentors commit to spend a minimum of 8 hours per month in face to face activities with their Mentee, for at least 1 year. Mentors are trained and supported by Foundation staff. Goal program has Mentees establish and achieve 3,6,12 and 24 month goals around community service, their academics, career options, personal fitness and family relationships. The Foundation presents goal achievement awards, including lap top computers. Scholarships are granted at high school graduation to help offset cost of post-secondary education. Requirements of volunteers: 21 years of age, high school graduate, high moral character, commitment to make a positive impact on a teenager's life, agree to a criminal history check.
