Guided by our faith and commitment to social justice, and in collaboration with others, Episcopal Community Services of Maryland strives to address the injustice of severe poverty, which is embedded in communities and disempowers individuals. ECSM provides education and support systems as well as advocates for families and individuals seeking help in overcoming adversity.

Description:
Episcopal Community Services of Maryland serves our communities’ most vulnerable and disadvantaged members through three programs.

The Jericho program, a prisoner re-entry initiative, helps formerly incarcerated nonviolent men find employment and avoid re-incarceration.

The Club at Collington Square is an arts and academic after school program. The program encourages youth to express themselves through art, grow as individuals and achieve academically.

The Ark is a short-term emergency preschool for children ages three to five whose families are homeless. It strives to prepare children to enter school without being socially, emotionally or verbally disadvantaged.

History:
ECSM began as an adoption agency in 1927. Our commitment to reuniting children that seek help in identifying and communicating with their birth parents continues on in the Adoption Reunification program
