The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore (formerly the Baltimore Zoo) provides an exciting and educational wildlife experience for visitors of all ages.

Description:
More than 1500 animals are represented in the Zoo's varied natural habitat exhibits encompassing over 200 species of birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles. Conservation projects, breeding initiatives, educational programs, and fun guest activities all make the Zoo a vibrant, interesting, and fun place for guests, volunteers, and staff.

History:
Founded in 1876, the Maryland Zoo is the third oldest zoo in the United States and is internationally known for its contributions in conservation and research. We embrace our long Baltimore history while we continue to grow into an exciting zoo of the 21st century.
