Along with the Directors, the Treasurer forms the fourth critical leg of the organization base. Do numbers thrill you? Are you a QuickBooks or Quicken devotee? Responsibilities of the Treasurer include but are not limited to establishing and maintaining an accounting system that meets standards and needs for non profits; keeping track of money coming in and out and reporting fiscal movement to the board; staying on top of state, federal and city requirements of non profits; tracking and reporting membership activity; and contributing to strategy development for greater fiscal solvency.
Experience and ease with computer accounting software and some non-profit knowledge is preferred, but not required. Seeking a volunteer that can give 2 to 3 hours a month.
