The Pav YMCA Mission Statement is to put Christian principles into practice thru programming that promotes a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Description:
Our YMCA seeks to offer opportunities for individuals to:
Develop self-confidence, self-respect and an appreciation of their own worth.

Appreciate that health of body and mind is a sacred gift, and that physical fitness and mental well-being are conditions to be achieved and maintained.

Develop a faith for daily living based upon the teachings of Jesus, so that their hightest potential as children of God may be achieved.

Grow as responsible members fo their families and as citizens of their communities.

The Pav Ymca will be known for practicing inclusion by valuing the diversity of all people within our association and the communities we serve.

Develop abilities for leadership and to use these abilities responsibly in their own groups and community life.

History:
Young Mens's Christian ASsociation of Berwyn-Cicero Inc. has been filed in the Office of the Secretary of State on the 29th day of September, 1970 as a Not For Profit Corporation. The purpose of this organization are : To enhance the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social welfare of young men; to conduct a Young Men's Christian Association in the Towns of Berwyn and Cicero; and, to assist in the work of the Illinois Area Council of Young Men's Christian Associations and the National Council of Young Men's Christian Associations of the United States of America, or their successors.
