Join the Youth Outreach Services team by becoming an Academic Support Tutor for youth, ages 11-17. You will help kids improve their basic academic skills, encouraging each to achieve their goals. Specific responsibilities include:
- Assist youth with homework.
- Encourage the academic achievements of kids.
- Meet, as requested, with program staff for supervision and feedback.
- Maintain confidentiality/privacy of kids in the program.
Hours needed include after school and early evenings.
Qualifications include:
- Interest and concern for youth.
- Patience, tolerance and open-mindedness about the unique qualities of kids.
- Dependability and sense of responsibility.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest and aptitude for assisting youth with academic studies.
Additionally, the position requires a background check & fingerprinting.
