Meal Providers and Servers

We invite groups to donate and serve meals. Duties include preparing and serving meals at 6:00 am for breakfasts, 7:00pm for dinners and once a week for sack-lunches. Although not required, we GREATLY APPRECIATE when volunteers can provide the food they will serve. Volunteers should be friendly, dependable, and be able to prepare a tasty, nutritious, filling meal!

Minimum Age 18 (under 18 requires adult supervision)

Directions:

 From Chicago: Go north on Sheridan Road; turn left onto Dempster Street. Turn right onto Chicago Avenue. The shelter is in the basement of Lake Street Church, at the corner of Chicago & Lake. The entrance is on the north side of the building. Limited on-street parking is available. From the North: Go south on Sheridan Road; when Sheridan turns left in front of Northwestern's Arch, stay straight; the street will become Chicago Avenue. Proceed to Chicago & Lake. From the West: Go east on Dempster Street; turn left onto Chicago Avenue; proceed to Chicago & Lake
