Our Mission
HowardCenter improves the well-being of children, adults, families, and communities.

Our Story
Sometimes we can’t make it on our own. That’s true of everyone. And that’s why HowardCenter exists, to provide essential services to people who face challenges. HowardCenter provides developmental, mental health, substance abuse, and child, youth, and family services to 15,000 people a year. We connect with communities around the state as allies and advocates.

HowardCenter has a new unified name, new look and new website (www.howardcenter.org). What remains the same is our commitment to provide excellent services to meet individual and community needs.

Description:
HowardCenter’s Child, Youth & Family Services (formerly Baird Center) provides prevention, assessment, treatment, crisis, and educational services and support to children and youth and their families. Programs include First Call for Children and Families, a 24-hour per day crisis service, counseling, case management, and school-based services, intensive family-based services, day treatment and special education services, residential programs, Pine Forest childcare, and Community Friends Mentoring.
