To promote lung health and prevent lung disease. The American Lung Association of Vermont has a holistic approach to teaching the community that lung health, clean air, freedom from smoking, diet, exercise and a sound mind are interrelated and contribute to one’s quality of life. The keys to a successful donation program are putting the educational piece in place first and then, showing people how they are personally affected by lung health.

Description:
We develop many educational programs and coordinate fundraising efforts such as, Champ Camp for Kids with Asthma, school based tobacco programs and asthma education, Golf Privilege Card, Ski-Ride Privilege Pass, Healthy Air Walk, A Haunted Warehouse in Burlington, Strongman Competition, and Christmas Seals. We also help fund research for asthma and COPD thru our partnership with the Vermont Lung Center (vlc@uvm.edu) at the University of Vermont.
