To preserve the plants, animals, and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.

Description:
Land conservation, protecting land by purchasing it, holding conservation easements on it and working with other conservation organizations to reduce threats to biodiversity. Owners of 45 natural areas and preserves throughout Vermont which are open to the public for low-impact recreational use (walking, hiking, birding, photography, etc.)
