Creating unlimited horizons in aerospace education through the preservation and presentation of the history of flight.
Description:
The Pima Air & Space Museum and the Titan Missile Museum are operated by the Arizona Aerospace Foundation (AAF). The Pima Air & Space Museum (PASM) and the Titan Missile Museum (TMM) are private (self-supporting), non-profit educational organizations. We are supported by museum admissions, Gift Shop sales, contracted events, Foundation memberships, donations, and grants. We rely heavily on our Volunteer Corps to provide an informative and entertaining experience to our visitors!
History:
The Pima Air & Space Museum was opened to the public in 1976 as part of the United States' Bicentennial celebrations. It houses the world's largest privately owned collection of aircraft. The Titan Missile Museum was aquired by the AAF in 1986. It is the only remaining Titan II missile site of the 54 once in existence and is on the registry of National Historic Landmarks.
