The mission of RSVP is to build a stronger Chittenden County by mobilizing volunteers, age 55 and older, to improve people's lives and our community.
RSVP is committed to providing people, age 55 and older, with personalized service in finding rewarding and meaningful volunteer opportunities that build the capacity of non-profit organizations and make a difference in our community.
Description:
RSVP is a personalized placement service for volunteers, age 55 and older, who are eager to do something that makes a difference in their community. We offer a free membership organization designed to thoughtfully link the skills and interests of our members with the volunteer needs in our community.
We go above and beyond referring volunteers to available volunteer positions. RSVP focuses on select non-profit agencies who meet critical community needs, provide strong volunteer management and welcome the life experience, talents and expertise of volunteers age 55 and older. RSVP coordinators know the "ins and outs" of these agencies so that they can help RSVP members find just the right volunteer opportunity.
RSVP coordinators take the time to get to know prospective RSVP volunteers. They tailor the search for volunteer opportunities to match the volunteer's lifestyle and interests with the needs of the agencies that work with RSVP.
RSVP also runs special programs open only to RSVP members such as School Buddies, Crafty Hands/Warm Hearts, Special Events Team and the Bulk Mailing Program.

We are located off of Shelburne Road, behind Ben Franklin/Creative Habitat. Building is identified by the number 412 over the entry door and parking is available in front of the building or in nearby lots.
