The purpose of the Utah Figure Skating Club is to foster, promote, encourage, advance, and improve amateur ice skating. To encourage and cultivate a spirit of harmony and fraternal feeling among ice skaters.
Description:
The Utah Figure Skating Club provides ways for the members to participate in amateur competitions, ice shows, exhibitions. We are a non-profit organization that sponsors amateur competitions, ice shows, and exhibitions to fund raise for the future of the club. Monies received from such events are given back to the club by hosting ice skating seminars, test sessions (to advance skaters), grants, competitions, ice shows, ice time, and any equipment that is necessary for these functions. The club has a primary purpose of the instruction and training individual skaters as well as the public in the sport of amateur ice skating.
History:
The Utah Figure Skating Club started February 3, 1953. It's home base is the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful, Utah. We have hosted many competitions and ice shows over the years and will continue to do so in future years.
