Layton's Uniting Neighbors effort organizes districts, areas and neighborhoods throughout the community to prepare for emergencies and provide two way communication between the City and the Citizens during an emergency event. Activities include CERT training, radio exercises between district coordinators and the City, and local ARES volunteer activities. The Layton Safe Neighborhoods Committee, which is a partnership between volunteers and the Layton Police Department will also become part of the Layton Citizen Corps Council.
