The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Volunteer opportunities: Daily pick ups of bread and pastries at Hugo's 8, Super One Foods, Starbucks. Volunteer will begin at 8:00AM and will pick up the goods and deliver them to The Salvation Army by 9:00AM. Daily help in the Food Pantry, make food boxes, organize the shelves. To assist the population in times of need. We provide financial assistance for rent deposits, evictions, utility disconnections, medical, travel, food pantry and thrift store items.
History:
The Grand Forks Salvation Army has been in existence since 1895 providing immediate emergency assistance to families and individuals in their time of crisis.
