To provide adults and children with printed and non-printed material, supply access to information, offer a current in-depth collection of material and sponsor special activities emphasizing the importance of reading to all to meet informational, recreational, educational, and cultural needs of Minot citizens.

Goals for the Minot Public Library include providing high-interest, popular materials in a variety of formats for all ages, serving as a children's door to learning while promoting the enjoyment of reading, managing library resources and functions effectively to achieve the service goals within given financial limitations, and providing a state-of-the-art library facility through planning and funding.
