Camp Fire USA Northern Star Council

Camp Fire USA builds caring confident youth and future leaders. Caring adult mentors assist youth in club, afterschool, camping, self-reliance, environment, leadership, and vacation and Saturday activities.

History:
Camp Fire USA (Camp Fire Girls) was started in Vermont in 1910. Locally the organization was conducted since 1914 before being chartered in 1927. Camp Trowbridge was purchased in 1929. Camp Shawendawsee in 1961 and was sold in 1986. The Moorhead and Fargo councils mergered in 1976. Boys joined the organization in 1975 when it became Camp Fire Boys and Girls. In 2001, the name was changed to Camp Fire USA.

Directions:
 Office is located in the American Square building which is between Main and Center Avenue next to 8th Street. Our backdoor faces south to the parking lot next to the railroad tracks in the southeast corner of the building. Our front door is accessed at the NE corner of the building. The office is in the lower level.
