  Community Plunge
On Saturday, August 23th, the Class of 2012 will have the opportunity to participate in the University's third annual COmmunity Plunge during Panther Welcome! Students will come together with faculty and staff to assist in volunteer projects at the university and in the surrounding Atlanta communities. Meet new friends and help those in need!

SUMMER AmeriCorps VISTA Positions At RFS
If you are interested in working for our summer camp please apply through the AmeriCorps VISTA program (instructions below) and you will be contacted after we receive your application. (Feel free to apply to more than one as well!) Below are job descriptions for the five available SUMMER AmeriCorps VISTA positions here at Refugee Family Services. Summer VISTA Members commit to serve in RFS Summer Camp Monday-Thursday during eight weeks of summer (5/27-7/24). The RFS Summer Camp is a free day-camp composed of 55 newly arrived refugee youth. These youth, ages 6-14 and hailing from areas around the world (including Burma, Burundi, Colombia, Sudan, Somalia, Vietnam just to name a few), need support to become self-sufficient young students and citizens. Summer VISTAs will be tasked with developing and implementing ESOL curriculum that teaches basic English and life skills. Training on May 23 as well as the RFS training May 27th-30th.
