The mission of CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ, is to provide 24 hour compassionate, confidential, telephone listening and referral services staffed primarily by trained volunteers giving hope and reassurance to people in crisis.

CONTACT provides three major free services: 24/7 Crisis and Suicide Prevention HOTLINES (609-896-2120 and 609-585-2244) Telephone REASSURANCE for the Elderly: Daily calls to elderly living alone in Mercer County (609-883-2880) Senior Corps RSVP: Supports volunteers in over 30 programs and agencies in Mercer County (609-883-2883) All programs are offered free of charge and are staffed primarily by trained and dedicated volunteers. History:
CONTACT was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1975 in New Jersey. Every year CONTACT serves thousands of callers on the HOTLINE, over 18,000 in 2006. The REASSURANCE Program calls 150 elderly people each day to check on their well being. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement and other benefits to volunteers who are 55+. These programs provide an opportunity for people to help others in a safe and structured way. CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ, is a member center of CONTACT USA and LIFELINE International.
